<p>Join us for a day of workshops and performance of the most exciting forms of contemporary performance and composition. Special guests include dancer Silke, on tour from the Netherlands, sharing her original dance choreography and techniques, and master Soundpainters Evan Mazunik and Dennis Shafer teaching inter-disciplinary Soundpainting. Also ChagallPAC artists Diana Norma and Jason Felitto will give Cageian writing and composition workshops in I Ching music and Mesostic poetry. This intensive day of workshops will leave you with your own musical/literary/dance compositions, collaborations with others, and new methods explore performance art across disciplines.</p>

<p>The Chagall Performance Art Collaborative molds the infernal world premieres of Claudio Gabriele with Soundpainting interludes featuring Luciano Berio and world premieres by 6 other composers, including Etienne Rolin (France), Oliver Caplan, Tim Pence, Claudio Gabriele (Italy), and Robert Lemay. Special guests include ChagallPAC String Quartet, The Back Bay Saxophone Quartet, and soloists Julee Avallone, Rebecca Wellons, and Todd Brunel. Other premieres include works by Robert Lemay (Canada), writings of Diana Norma Szokolyai, and Soundpainting works by Dennis Shafer and Jennifer Bill. Multidisciplinary collaborators also include Emile “Dr. T” Tobenfield (improvised video art), Venus in Furs Jewelry (metamorphic souvenirs!), and a “let it be(gin)” intermission surprise by contemporary artist Trevor Martin.</p>
